Curious 'Issue'

I don't visit that often, so when I do I tend to try and guage what I have and haven't read by using the icons by each thead title, and normally, a thread I haven't visited is marked by bold text.

But recently this isn't working??

Is this the case for everyone?

Are you logging in? They won't show sites visited unless you are logged in.

I use the "New Posts" link with good success. It is right there /\ in the top center of the tool bar.
Give it a try.

I always log in, actually I have the forum auto-login system setup.

I've run into that, too, Riceburner...

And it's weird, as the problem seems to come and go, and I am always logged in. Seems like when I read the posts in one thread and then return to the main topic listing page it updates all sections as having been read. When that happens I miss some of the latest posts...

How about it, techies? Any ideas?

I haven't bumped into that problem. I use the "New Posts" link to get everything that I haven't read since my last visit. I'll look around a bit to see what the deal is.

I've seen it also. I generally always leave a window open here, and occasionally lose the bold type on topics containing new posts.

I just shut down my browser to upgrade Thunderbird. After restarting, this thread didn't show up as bold, even though there were new posts.

Using Firefox browser.

Edit:

Just jumped over to the Non-Motorcycling Section and the Religion and Politics thread did show up as bold.
