Saw this thread over on Advrider. Outstanding family of Dad (60) & 2 adult sons & one 2 yr grandson out riding their various GS's. One son has a nitrous bottle hooked up on his 1100.

These guys can ride their GS's they way most of us wish we could ride dirt bikes (at least at my age, its true for me). Fearless.

And then back pages (around post 105 or so) in the thread, pictures of great grandma & pa on bikes. This family is the real McCoy.

Its all here - Mud, Madness, Bikes, Family.

Opps, almost forgot the linky

That's the beauty of a motorcycle - you can do anything you want on it. A stock KLR is not really a good off-road bike at all - but you can ride it there & do very well - same goes for the beastly GS & GSA. It may not be the ultimate dirt machine, but it's nearly always up to the rider to make the machine work, not the other way 'round.
Imagine how much fun the the X-series bikes will be.......

Yesterday, I rode my GS on a trail North of Phoenix, AZ. It's a lot of fun but one problem I have is, I forget that I'm ridding a 549 lbs Enduro Touring Bike...

I tend to realize after the fact... After launching over a cattle guard I landed and bottomed out my shocks... (Ouch.!) :eekers:

I know it's tough on my GS... but I Love it..!!! :023:
