DRILL PRESS: A tall upright machine useful for suddenly snaching objects out of your hands while flinging your beer across the room.

ELECTRIC HAND DRILL: Used for spinning pop rivets in their holes.

SKILL SAW: A portable cutting tool used to make studs too short.

SLIP JAW PLIERS: Used to round off bolt heads. Sometimes can be used in creating blood-blisters.

HACKSAW: Transforms human energy into crooked, unpredictable motion.

VISE-GRIPS: Advanced rounding of bolt heads.

OXYACETYLENE TOURCH: Used almost entirely for lighting flammable objects in your shop.

ENGINE HOIST: Device used to test the tensile strength of everything you forgot to disconnect.

STRIGHT BLADE SCREWDRIVER: Used mainley for opening paint cans. Can be used to convert slotted screws into non-removable screws.

HAMMER: Used as a divining rod to locate the most expensive part adjacent to the object you are trying to hit.

Adjustable wrench (Spanner to the other sides of the pond) - a 'universal metric' wrench - or Free State 'micrometer'. The 'Orange Free State' used to be a state in South Africa - mostly farming community with shade-tree mecahnics

A pipe wrench - Bobbejaan - (Babboon) spanner -

I am sure our Aussie friends ahve some good ones too
