Lots of interesting stuff, including some nice bikes. Some he owned; some not. This has been in the works for a long time, as I remember seeing some of this stuff on display at the motorcycle concours in Half Moon Bay last May.

Lots of odds n ends and cool bikes being offered. There amongst the assorted goodies is something that really caught my eye, even more than the bikes:
Very cool (http://www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/public.sh/pubweb/publicSite.r?sContinent=USA&screen=lotdetailsNoFlash&iSaleItemNo=3251552&iSaleNo=14037&sServer=http://images2.bonhams.com/&sPath=2006-05/19/7252704-2-1.jpg)
If anyone is not sure what to get me for Christmas, this would do just fine.

"Very cool" is an understatement. If I had disposable income, I would love to have that jacket.

I'll be surprised if that jacket doesn't bring some very serious money. For a die hard enthusiast with money to spend that would be quite and item to display in the den. And if he had any guts and it fit him, he'd go riding in it at least once. I hope it goes to a worthy buyer.

Apparently Mr. McQueen was a man "ahead of his time".
Has anybody ridden the new, 2027 R2175R yet?

My 8 yo has one of those exact same jackets. McQueen didn't wear it though, and neither has my 8 yo yet. $50 from someone who got scared on the first ride. Really.:eusa_clap:

I have two of them hanging in my closet right now, and one pair of matching pants, gaiters, and over mitts.
It's always something,

Looks like most of the bike's sold. Ironically some of the "hot" HD stuff didn't.
Is this a record, or at the least, a major league price?

I see that the Belstaff jacket brought $28,000. That's a good bit more than I got for my old one on eBay a couple of years ago.
