I saw this bike parked in Danville a couple of weeks ago and grabbed some pics with my pocket camera. I don't know what model it is or anything, my guess would be a Scout. I think this thing looks better original than it would restored. Thought you fellers might enjoy it...

Very cool. Good on whomever was out for a ride on such a wonderful old bike!

:eusa_clap:

My wife's a watercolor artist and the shot of the old bike with jacket slung across the back is just the sort of thing she'd like to paint.

Thanks for that Steve. I do believe I agree with you about leaving it the way it is.
I'd like to get to know the rider. I reckon he just may be an interesting chappie.

Cheers,

JQ.

It's nice to see the old ones still running around and not just in a museum. To me it looks like a 20's machine, but I'm sure someone here will be able to tag it.

My bet is on Dallara, unless he is catching up on his sleeping this morning.

I agree with you all, I'll bet the owner has some stories.

I think its a 1921 600CC Scout in military trim. Notice it has side-valves, they started production of those in 1920.

Steve, Welcome and great pic, keep em coming.

If anyone restored *that* old bike they would need a good & proper flogging!
What a beaut...
