Speed record biker dies
A rider who set a legal record when he was caught on camera at 155mph, died after crashing into the back of a car. He had been travelling at more than 100mph, an inquest into his death heard.
According to the BBC, Lee Beddis, 37, was banned for a year in May 2002 when his Honda was snapped by a Gatso at 155mph – at the time the highest speed recorded by a speed camera.
After serving his ban he returned to riding. And in September last year he was on the B4598 in Monmouthshire on his GSX-R1000 when he crashed into the back of a Peugeot 106 car.
