It has been a long and painful wait while the MotoGP folks have taken off a few weeks to enjoy their summertime, like all good Europeans should. But wait, what's that I hear in the distance of time. The special racket of MotoGP bikes warming up for the next race...

Just one week and one day away. From the Ceske Republiky no less. So synchronize your watches. It's just around the corner.

Will Rossi be able to cover the points distance between he and Hayden? Will Nicky continue to ride stunning races? Will Pedrosa be buying both a beer? Will Melandri keep sneaking into the higher points? Will Capirossi stick in the top five? How will the next six races effect the inevitable rider shuffle for next year?

I'm so excited...

Um... According to the Brit commentators, I think it's BRUNO.

Yeah, I'm excited too!

Okay fellow 'merican MotoGP nuts, here's the 411 for Sunday's race.

SpeedTV - 8:00AM (that's right, AM) Pacific time on Sunday the 20th of August. That'd make it later (or a more reasonable hour) for you folks in the earlier time zones. You Aussies, Brits, Scots, French, Japanese, Chinese, and so on, will get to see the whole thing on satellite TV and will want to spill the beans, but please give a bit of forewarning if you're posting that Alex Hoffman took 1st or the like...

Almost a month since the last one and I'm just about ready to bust from excitement. I am one sick, sick, sick, sick puppy around this MotoGP stuff...

Or you could be as obsessed as me who bought the full package from the MotoGP website. Full race video, on board video, interviews with the racers and crews, and lots more. Plus you can watch it anytime as often as you like. PLUS, the British announcers, which makes it all the better.

Good God, Bones...How do you get anything else done? It would be like being priapic in a Las Vegas cat house...

I have not paid anything..just signed up or registered on that Moto Gp site.. http://motogp.tiscali.com/en/motogp/index.htm

It lets me watch qualifying live..no pictures but all the positions and times as they change throughout the session...it's great. (well I like it)

Question from a techidiot. How do you watch stuff from the MotoGP web site? Do you watch it on a little 2"x2" box on your computer monitor, or can I hook up a 42" flatscreen & watch it glitch free in high def? I guess I would buy a long cable & new TV if that would work.

You could invest in a multimedia pc and go large. We set one up in our conference room at work some time ago and I can get the specs together again if you're really interested. Very expensive display device though...
