Is it my imagination or does the front page random image take longer to load than before?

Not sure Abhijeet...everything has been slow on my PC the last few days.
Hell, I can't get Google or my weather site to open at all!
Time to "clean house" I guess...

What I notice is that despite there being hundreds of images stored, it seems that 90% of the time, one of five or six images will be the ones that appear when I visit MC Cafe'. I am not complaining. Just an observation.

Deej-
Well I had heard you are a "backdoor man'!
Create a desktop shortcut to: http://www.motorcyclistcafe.com/
This will take you to the "front page" where there is a rotating image from a special folder Ron created on SmugMug for our "best of the best" pics. Some of your stuff is on there!
Click Refresh on that page as many times as you like to see a new image each time.
Click on the image itself and it takes you to the website/forum "homepage", where you have several options. On that homepage you will also see a "Quote of the Day" for our motorcycling "pearls of wisdom & humor".
Click on Forum to go straight to the Forums section.
Abhijeet or Bob - maybe we ought to have a sticky on this somewhere so new guys could see it...it's not real obvious.

Jeff, what I have noticed is that the "randomizer" seems to hover around one group of images for a while, then drifts on to another group for a while. My random-image screen saver does the same thing. At least it seems that way.
We have something over 200 images on the SmugMug folder...wish more guys would get up off their well-upholstered saddles and put some of their fine images on there too! :eusa_drool: :041: :110:

So how do we add images to the quiver?
I've got some I'd be happy to donate to the cause, I just don't know what folder on SmugMug to add them to... :)
Cheers!

Allan,
This is the directory you need to drop the images in
http://r1150r.smugmug.com/gallery/1324956
Bones & Dave,
The script uses a randomizer function. I have no control over what it "decides" is a random image. It does what it does...but if you stay there long enough....you'll see all the other image show up.....I've tested it. :D
Dave,
Will make this thread a sticky.
DJ,
Back door? Too much information, dude! :037:

Allan -
The way it's set up is for paid members to PM Arkline for instructions...nothing to it...I can do it!
I don't even know the SM address...I have it on a desktop shortcut.
I really recommend SmugMug "Large" size images to keep scrolling to a minimum.
