Very nice job Floyd did today, indeed :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap:
But, it's really hard to pick a favorite! The tour this year has been interesting throughout.
Friday's stage shouldn't bring any big changes, but saturday's time trial stage is gonna be a bitch !
Floyd has shown he can be as good at time trial. But, because of the short distance any fall or flat tire can completely change the odds.
One time Lance won against the other favorite Jan Ullrich because the latter had slid under the rain while he was still having a 20 sec lead over Lance only a few miles before the finish line.
It will be interesting to watch.

I wish you guys wouldn't post this stuff before I have a chance to watch it.
I had to tape it and watch it last night. Holy crap!! what an incredible comeback! Floyd was on fire. To have gone out as early as he did and then to hang on for the stage win. Simply incredible! Did you notice that he put 30 seconds back into Sastre on the final descent. That was a ride of redemption, for sure.
I'm taping the Time Trial now, so please be careful what you say.

Floyd's going to have to smash Poriero's TT time to bring it home in Jaune on Sunday. Let's hope Sunday's ride is a parade, not a race - that's a dangerous ride on the cobblestones in paris.

I think he's capable of that. Time will tell.
Actually I knew the TT wasn't 'till Saturday but I let the Pegster convince me otherwise. What can I say... she's very convincing (what with her CC permit, and all). I would be very surprised if any but the lesser lights and the sprinters do any racing on Sunday. That's certainly been the case in recent years. But this tour is rather different. So... who knows?

Can you say 8 American wins in a row?
Tomorrow should be a celebratory procession into Paris, as both the sprinters & climbing points are securely held, so Oscar must be the traditional man and not attack for the :59 Floyd has on him.
I rode with Floyd back in November (2005) in Tucson, and he can ride. Fast.
Doesn't say much, and works like a dog. Anyone who watched this race knows how he earned this one.
Maybe since Jan Ullrich was fired from T-Mobile, Discovery will hire him as a new leader....?

Damn, that solo breakaway Thursday was great. He rode them into the ground.
Is it just me, or does Floyd look a bit like Brain from the "Pinky and the Brain" cartoons.

Yep..I've never seen a pinky and brain cartoon..but it sure looks like him.
It's not over yet..they've still got those crazy cobblestones in Paris.

Someones started drinking the spumante as he's riding. Tradition apparently.

I believe that's not a problem! If there's a fall in the champs-elysees, the rider gets the time of the whole peloton. And a leader would never take more second on the rest of the peleton, especially after they get to paris.
I have been drinking for Floyd since he took more that 50 secs over Perriero.
It was clear he did it. Congrats.

Only the case in the last 3 Km. Thankfully it wasn't an issue. It certainly was an entertaining finish. I thought for a few seconds that Georgie and Popovich were going to pull something off. But all they did was to mess with the sprinters a bit. Thor simply motored past Robbie Mac at the line. Very convincing win.
All in all, an interesting and enjoyable Tour.
