Hi all -

I have arranged a special ERC class at the motorcycle school in Gilbert, AZ, where I am accredited, for a group of very good buddies out of DC. They are all retired government types who I work with and are all H-D riders very involved in the "Rolling Thunder" POW/MIA rides on the national mall each Memorial Day.

Anyway, they will fly out to the Phoenix area September 12, pick up rental bikes from Cheter's H-D on the morning of 9/13, and we have scheduled the class to start at 0830 that morning - it will go for about 5 hours or so and you get an ERC completion certificate at the end, which may help on insurance.

As of now there are three extra slots in the class and I can fill them by invitation only (rather than throwing it open to the public). I will probably teach the course myself but it could be someone else - all the instructors at TEAM AZ are very good. http://www.motorcycletraining.com/

If you are in another area and want to come in for the course you can do it on a school bike, just FYI.

So, if in the next month or two you decide you want to get in on this opportunity let me know and I will get you pre-registered.

Ride safe!

If you can...JUST DO IT!!!
Its great, a few of us here, did one in April. What a good time. Learned alot. I highly endorse the class, like that means anything, but you won't be sorry.

Bob,

Thanks for the offer. I will check my calander. What temps are we talking that time of year? I might ride out the evening prior, do the course, then ride back that evening or the next morning. Could be fun if its not 125 degrees.

Hey Rob -

September is still pretty hot - could be daytime highs anywhere from 90 to 105, nighttime lows in the 70's - 80's.

You are more than welcome to come on over. From where your are it is only a 4-5 hour ride. Let me know if you need lodging support. Take care.
