Anyone here done that ride?
Actually they claim one does over 104k vertical feet in one days ride of about 450 miles. Since I am planning on a ride up that way - might as well do it too for fun. Should hear today.

Any riders on this site in the Denver area?

So many roads, so little time.... That has always seemed like a lot of fun. Good fuel stop management would be important, it eems to me.

Brian,
I did that ride last year and it’s a great day of riding with fantastic roads and scenery through our beautiful state. From what I hear the route changes every year to keep it fresh. Fuel was no problem last year but you never know. Check out coloradobeemers.com for more info.

I will probably do again this year, but I have a closing date of 7/31 or 8/4 so it may be a bit hectic to fit in. If you’re in the area do it - along with the great ride you get three meals and some swag.

D chuck,
I have signed up for the ride. Spoke to a Debbie at the dealership that seems to be organizing it on behalf of Colorado Beemers.

I have never been to Denver itself so I still have to do homework in that regard - what side of town and what is in the immdiate surrounds for camping/accomodation/food etc.

Nice to find riding buddies for the trip too if at all possible. I like 'spirited' riding - but whatever is available will do.

Here’s a map of the start point, Foothills BMW.

This is in the west central part of Denver, the city is Lakewood in the middle of the burbs. There is a bunch of places to eat and stay within spitting distance, it’s not really my stomping ground so I can’t recommend either. Camping wise I don’t know any close, but I do know the foothills are only 10 min. to the west and camping can’t be very far from there. Maybe others will chime in on that.

You are welcome to join our crew for the ride whether I’m there or not, a bunch of real nice guys that like to put on the miles. I can put you in contact with them if it doesn’t work out for me. If the pace isn’t spirited enough, no feelings will be hurt - on this ride there’s always someone to hunt down:071: .
