Big P,

What are you riden these days? Still looking at the KR's?

Rode w/ a co-worker on a R-1 Tuesday, ~ 180 miles. After that, I went down and looked at the KRs and Ss. I still am riding the Rockster and also ride a Yamaha Roadstar w/ my wife. I was drooling over the white special edition Hayabusa last month, but the legroom is too short for me.

I think I am gonna wait for a BMW sale on the new K bikes. I also am waiting to see the Yamaha FZ-1.

I love the new K-bikes, but the cost to enjoy is killing me. The Rockster treats me right, but I'm ready for something meaner. The salesguy told me he would knock off $3k if I would buy a ST!

I hate to say this, but the local Hells Angels in Anchorage, Alaska used to be the only ones who rode year round. They would unbolt the rear swing arm and replace it with one from a trike.

But, no matter the winter temperature you could see them riding. They would start the bikes in a heated garage and not shut them off until they were back to the heat. It was humorous to see what happens when they are riding in 30 below weather and they shut it off for too long a time. It was just fine to stop the engine while getting fuel, but to stop it and just run into the bar for a quick one - not a good idea. By the time the one beer turned into 4/5, their engine was a block of ice. I remember when one of their membership thought they could thaw out the engine with a blow torch - yes you guessed the outcome. Anchorage had its one and only biker funeral that year.

I do hope when my Bonnie and I move to Florida (this June) we can get hooked up with some of the Florida riders.

Sounds like a really scruffy collection of AZ critters are collecting up there now!

How about joining us in the Lone Star State for the Hill Country Ride coming up soon?

Newbies - Welcome!

While Mr Poopinshoe, who we shall call John is a ridding buddy of mine AND rides a Sportster S, he does some BMWish miles, how many miles there John?
Appoching 50 grand aren' you?
I drug him off the BMW dealer trying to get to buy a K1200R...I saw the gleam in his eye, so you all help me work on him.
He's tired of chasing me, it was bad when I had the R, now its downright embarrasing for him with the ST.
We are both planning on the MotoGP....see ya there.
Bob...now I have to tell the story:icon_redface: ...Lets really meet for some coffee some Sunday morning....Roger

Just got home to Texas, boy were the cross winds hell in New Mexico. I know I exceeded the allowed cross wind factor for the bike. I was riding with a lean of 35 degrees just to stay in my lane.. Boy what a BITCH !

A pic of Bill on his new bike.

Bill sounds like you had a great trip, glad you made it home safely.

Apparently, Bill tried to get a job on his way home.
