That really looks great.
Some hobbies are twice as a rewarding as others, because when you are done having the pleasure of your hobby, you get something nice like your gardens.
One of my hobbies is making gourmet dishes.

Nice work on the yard, MNNDN. I won't be showing those pictures to my wife!
I'm just glad if I can keep the lawn ALIVE during the summer. Flowers?? Not a chance, not with me looking after them.

Yes, The "dreaded fertilizer" Guilty as charged!! I do however try and use organic as much as possible, also in the area of "environmental correctness" we try and plant a few trees each year here is about 10 acres we put into pine and other assorted trees just this past yearl

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-4/991455/IM000871.jpg
Also I maintain two blue bird trails, one on about 40 acres and the other on about 20, Pic of some houses ready to go
http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-4/991455/IM000846.jpg
and we also installed a wildlife pond on one of the properities this past year.

Tree Hugger you say!! I think not, I have several MN mounts hanging on my wall that will bare witness to that, quite the contraire, I like to "Shoot it up" it is a sad time when the freezer is void of venison. Although I do not hunt birds or do much fishing any more, I support all who do, as long as it is done ethical and within the law. We contruibite to many wildlife and conservation groups. Over the years I have taken much from the environment, not only in "Table Fare" but have used it for my own enjoyment, (snowmobiling, sking, snowshoeing the list gos on) I have also used it's beauty, (check out Collyer's pictures and those of others) So if it is a lowly birdhouse or 20 acres of trees, I like to put a little back. TO the POINT!! Do I now use (and am I going to continue to use) a little commercial fertilizer????? YES, Den

A shot of the Rio Grande at a very nice stretch of high desert, Taos, NM.

Mode of transport - Vertemati 570E (New Mexico street legal).

Hey Collyers, you slug!
Any chance of getting some of your fine moto-shots in freakin' EYE CANDY?
And just what were you doing in the wilds of New Mexico on a Vertemati, might I ask?

supermotoC

EYE CANDY? You must esplain this to me, Lucy.

Vertemati E 570 + NM desert plains = 80mph pucker bushes!

Too bad Vertemati went belly up - this bike has the best WP suspension (works stuff), Excel/Talon wheelset, Acerbis plastic, Brembo brakes, and about 60hp in an incredibly stiff frame. 245lbs. Too bad it only holds 2 gallons - 70 miles & I'm walking. A good friend just moved out (retired) to Taos & has a 900SS, a Duke II, and the Vertemati E 570 (E for Enduro). He's twisting my arm to buy an LC4 to leave out there for when I visit... The trees pic above is of his driveway looking west.

YOU CAN LEAD A WHORE TO CULTURE, BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE HER READ.
Nice work! I didn't know you guys had topsoil in Nevada! That's the nicest job I've seen. Does it snow where you live, or do you live in the arid places down south? Gorgeous. Even die hard moto felons enjoy a nice view O' the green from time to time, eh?

I thought Minden denoted Nevada, sorry. I hope I didn't insult you. Now I know where that lush topsoil came from!

Thanks, Wild Will.

My Stella Artois is all over my shirt now.

I'm using that one, permission or not.

I'm glad you enjoyed your dose of King (Dean) Lear - I have actually visted his Kingdom, and it is as impressive as his riding ability. He is a very special human being.

No such luck, Although Purple Martins are quite common here, I can only attract the "Tree Swallows" that you see here. But they are nice also. Den

I always thought it was:

"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink,
You can lead a whore to culture, but you can't make her think."

YMMV
