The bike sounds pretty good though. Face it. Some people will laugh at anything.

Kids.

I dunno'...

Riding a dirt bike in snow and ice covered ground is actually quite a hoot on knobbies. Ya' got next to ZERO traction, and the thing just slips and slides around like a ball-bearing on oiled glass. It's a challenge just to stay up if the conditions are right. I've only done it a couple of times (being from South Texas we don't get lots of chances to ride in those kind of conditions...), but one really memorable one was a hare scrambles in Oklahoma. There wasn't that much snow on the ground, but tons of ice and slush and at one point there was a group of us racing each other... We got into some slick stuff and it seemed nobody was getting more than 50 feet without falling down. At one point it seemed like seven or eight of us were all on the ground, and our boots slipping out from under us just trying to pick the bikes up. We were all looking at each other and just laughing our asses off.

Guys were falling over when they would try to kick start their bikes... Trying to get going from a standstill was laughable on the frozen ground. More riders that were behind got into the section and they were falling down... This all went on for what seemed like hours (it was more like 10 minutes), just to get out of this one section... And we were all going to have to hit the same section the next loop!

I can't even remember how I finished, and the section wasn't so bad the second loop since bikes had chewed it all up and it was getting later in the day and warming up...

After the race you had all sorts of riders who had never even met each other before just sitting around giggling about all the people falling off in that section. It was hilarious...

But I guess you had to be there to get the joke.

Cheers!
