Hi guys - cross post from ADVRIDER:

Tomorrow morning I am departing DC, heading back to Arizona. Installed the "Brake!" (GizmoMIll) LED tail light replacement. It functioned just fine, but I got a "lampf" fault on my RID. I turned the key off, replaced the LED with the stock bulb, and no more fault. Replaced the stock bulb with the "Brake!" unit again and got the "lampf" fault.

So I put the stock bulb in and will head out tomorrow withthe stock bulb. Anybody have the same problem with the 12GS and the GizmoMill "Brake!" unit?

I put one in before my trip to California, 2k miles, no problem to date. Did you set the jumper per the instructions?? In your case, non-ABS (cro-magnon) mode.

Yup. I think I have a hyper-sensitive CanBus or something. Man o man! THanks for the response, Harry.

Bob,
It seems the problem with the Canbus system is that EVERYTHING not stock is read as a fault by the system. I wanted to change to different headlight bulbs and was told "no go" due to this problem. All the electric gizmos you want to add are ultimately going to cause problems unless wired direct, which won't work with tail lights.
