My wife & business partner has been pretty busy lately with a charity kids horse show, & I was looking at a Fed-Ex bill for our company. Our normal FedEX monthly is about $6/$800. This bill was for $1,700 (for about 45 days), so I went on line and looked at it line item by line item. They had 5 or 6 huge overcharges, they were charging me 50 lbs when I was only sending 1 lb letter paks. Like $160 instead of $30.
Anyway, I bring this up because I always thought FedEx was an excellent corp. I am just amazed at this seemingly random overcharging, & was wondering if anyone else is finding this. We normally drop our FedEx off at the local distribution center as we are normally making it last minute, & often fill out the preprinted tickets by hand to save time. We were always leaving it to FedEx to weight the package & fill in the weight.
After about an hour on the phone they did reduce the bill by $515, which was what it looked to me was the overcharge. Thats a big amount if they are making it off everyone. Its hard to believe a corp could be cheating like that, not sure what the incentive would be.
