I love my new Tiger 800 XC, but I don't think much of the stock Battlewings, which I find uncertain on wet roads. On the GS, I went from Tourances to Anakee 2s, which I love, especially in the wet. The Tiger has a 21" front wheel, though, and it looks like the Anakee 2 comes only in a bias ply construction at that size. I've used only radials on bikes, except when I had the XR650L, but that' was a fish of a different wiggle.
A tire is more than tread, of course, so here's my question: Am I going to get the same Anakee 2 in a bias ply tire as I have in a radial, or is the bias ply construction going to cost me the very characteristics I value in the radial counterpart?
