Vintage Days at MidOhio late July

Anyone planning on going? I am making the trek with some local riding buddies. We are going to make it almost full week, taking the long way to Ohio for fun. I have never been to this event, but the others have and have raved about it.

Anyone from here planning to go? Would be happy to see you there and I will buy the beer.

VMD is a great event. Pick a bike, any bike - you will likely see it there. Vintage roadracing, motocross and trials are fun to watch. Mid-Ohio ruined the camping by assigning specific spaces to campers, thus disallowing friends to pitch their tents in a group (Hey, watch it! :058: ). This was done in response to the Starboyz contingent of defective personalities burning down their RV and the vehicles parked next to it during Superbike weekend 2 years ago.

If you want to demo ride a BMW, get in line by 6:30 am. I think Ducati may have demo rides there this year.

I'll be there Sunday.

Turns out, I won't be going as I will be away with the family on a family vacatioin this week. BUT, I will return home by noon on Friday and I have Sat. through Tuesday of the next week off. Bob, wanna go ride somewhere? I only 6 hours away from where you are now. For you, that is like a run to the Seven Eleven.

Bones - if I go I will depart Friday afternoon or early Sat AM and spend Sat afternoon at VMD, then ride home on Sunday. On Monday I have to be back here - I am actuialy combining businsess with pleasure, going down to look at continuity of government/buisiness sites in Southern Virginia with two H-D riding guys on Monday.

Will have to catch you another time, it seems. So do you get to do your Monday work in Southern VA by bike? There is some gorgeous riding to be had in VA if you get away from the DC area (as if you don't already know that).

Will be at Mid Ohio August 12-13 and Sept 12-17 with the Viper. Anybody in the area is welcome to come by. The September dates are the NASA Nationals, we're hoping to take a shot at the Viper Vette Challenge championship.
