Is that legal anywhere in this country???:omg:

I guess it's legal...they fire full atuos at local gun ranges.
Or so my full-auto owning buddies tell me.
I know for sure *owning* full autos is legal with proper permits, etc.
Don't ask me why. Because it's America I guess...
And Charleton Heston wants it that way.

WOW. What's a round of ammo cost today???? The little girl looked to be firing a 30 cal browning. No telling how many and what kinds of rounds were flying in the main dust up. Even just powder, primer and caps would make that little 5 minutes pretty pricey.

Me, I'm a cheap bastard. Our oldest was on a State Trooper SWAT Team at one point. He offered to let me "rock n' roll" with his M-16 IF I supplied the ammo. Even the cost of 5.56mm outweighed the fun factor for me.

Oh well. Another thing to do when the lotto hits.

DJ,

Is that a Winchester model 21 the gal on our left is holding? Even if not, the double barrel shotgun she is holding looks good. I can't seem to make out what the others in the hunting party are holding.

By the by, I do love to rock 'n roll. The only problem is money. I've fired a number of firearms in full auto, just wonderful, but costly, lucky I was using ammo someone else bought - thanks Uncle Sam. The most fun was when I checked out and fired a Ruger 22 pistol, with an attached silencer. When I think of it the smile still comes back.:)

Bikes, Boobs, BARs, and Blowing shit up. This place is really starting to take shape.

Ok, I didn't see a BAR, but it fit better.

Cool !!!

I love full-auto stuff, but I concur with the ammo cost equation. I once had a MAC in 9mm, full auto... Went through the Class 3 (IIRC that's the ticket...) hoopla with Uncle Sam to get the gun permitted and all. Had to get fingerprinted and have a local LEO sign off I was a good citizen, etc. Took about 3 or 4 months total... The whole time the dealer holding the gun I had already paid for. The damn thing burned 9 mil so fast it scared y wallet to death (I was young and not making much at the time...). Only kept the damn thing about a year and a half 'til I sold it to pay for something motorcycle race related.

However, the guy who got me hooked on full-auto stuff, a local mega-inheritor, had a BUNCH of full-auto weapons... some of which included a 308 AR-10, numerous AR-15 variants, a cool 22 that fired from a Lewis gun type drum magazine, a full-auto Inglis Browning 9mm Hi-Power pistol (this had a detachable stock, extended mag, and tangent sights - and they were issued to some artillery crews during WWII), among others. He had more money than sense, and we would go out to a local range and waste incredible amounts of ammo. It was a ball. Enormous fun!

Regarding DJ's picture...

Did anyone notice that the second girl from the right has those internal cupcakes inside her boobs? Ya' know, the ugly kind... Those things are probably harder than the woodie the other ones would give me if I met up with 'em dressed like that in person!

And Frank... That ain't no Winchester Model 21 she's holding. That's one of those Ruger side-by-side's with the cast receivers I'm pretty sure. Model 21's never came with receivers "in the white" or with any finish that would look like that, and the barrels are not slim enough to match a Model 21's elegant proportions.

BTW, be careful... Model 21's are an addiction, and you don't wanna' get hooked. I know... I've got three of the damn things!

Perhaps the finest shotgun ever made in the USA, with no expense spared on 'em in the era they were introduced. Story goes that they lost money on every one ever produced, but they wanted something to match the Purdey's, Holland & Holland's, Boss, etc. of the finest Britich game guns. Trust me, the Model 21 is a true work of the gunsmith's art.

Cheers!

Harry -
My Army MOS was "Light Weapons Infantry"...asked for and received! This was 1961...had I known what was coming 'round the bend I would have looked in another direction.
I volunteered to carry the BAR, then just called the AR since it was full auto and a hell of a lot lighter than the air cooled Browning 30 cal machine gun. :shade:
The Army then was NOT PC and minorities were generally given machine gun duty since they were such a PITA to carry. The joke was on the redneck sergeants though, as those Mexican boys were having more fun than most. Now I'm talking *training* here, not *combat*.
Full autos are similar to an orgasm but last longer! Especially the twin 50 cal., the only weapon I fired that just scared the shit out of me!
Well, the flame thrower too but that was fun too in an apocalyptic sort of way.:omg:
For the record: I never wanted to shoot *people* with these crazy machines...but shooting down trees was sure fun!:)
They used to have us dig a big hole and bury all the extra ammo after a live-fire exercise...saved some lazy-assed non-com from filling out a form to turn it back in. There must be a bazzillion rounds of ALL KINDS of ordinance buried in, on and around Fort Ord, CA!

Dean-O

As you know, in Texas we find that 45 cal ammo lying along side the road all over the place.
I'll start gathering it up for you.
Can I fire it? Huh? Huh? Please Daddy, please, please??

Note to self: When camping around Fort Ord, CA., skip the campfire.

Yeah, all us ground-pounders who were burying that stuff thought it would be a *much* better idea to just fire it all off.
More fun and it would avoid all that hole-digging!
Your campfires would probably be OK, just be careful digging your "latrine!":(

Yes indeed. The infamous tommy gun is more fun than kicking a midget through a basketball hoop.

Aim low and to the left and you might come close to your target.
