The latest bit of insanity arrives at the MC B&B, about 450 lbs, a job for Big Red.

This arm weighs over 100 lbs, I could not lift it and hold it in place at the same time so I rigged up a come-a-long to the beam above and winched it into place.

Top notch, Dean!! The MC B&B is a cutting edge facility, for sure.

I'm kinda embarassed to admit I'm still using 10" C clamps, old tire irons, and pieces of oil jugs to do my tires :105:. (Hey!, I've always done it that way, why change now??!!:icon10:) However, I have upgraded to modern, store bought bead lubricant and the Marc Parnes balancer.

I'm with Dave, though. I hope you don't damage anything important while learning to use that bad boy.:eusa_naughty:

I've had that very conversation with him. Next month I'll buzz up with Terrie and give Dean a lesson. I even suggested he find an old wheel and tire for training purposes.

The new tire changer is officially christened with changing the worn out with steel threads showing rear tire on the K1600GT. Worked like a champ, took it slowly and carefully, redoing each step several times and viola a new tire mounted, where the last time I changed the rear tire on the K16GT, I was unable to get the tire on the last 100 degrees or so. This new toy for the MC B&B works like a charm.

The bead breaker works like knife thru butter.

Dean, I've said it before - your shop is both bigger and better equiped than half the dealers ones in the UK. You have style matey!

Simon, It is needed to keep your GS in tip top shape, so that it is always at your Beck and Call.

Did not like the No Mar? I just bought one but haven't used it yet.

The NoMar is great, have used it a lot.

It is now on its way to Brother Jamming, To be used down in the Pheonix area.

It was hard for me to use by my self on tires and wheels like on the K16 because the wheel has a very shallow dish and a large with a very stiff side wall tire, 190/55-17 tire.

It was a ton better than my modified Harbor Freight.......Besides I needed an excuse for a new Man Toy................
