Very intresting story behind that bike about how trhe origional owner paid Regy 20 large to build him a BOTT bike in 1980 dollars. Because of Regys rep of a racer for Butler & Smith (BMW importers in the '70s). The bike was finaly taken to Chris of San Jose BMW and CC products to try and make it right, Reggy was a great BMW racer but was lacking in being a BMW race bike builder. Chris wanted to start from scratch, ie raise the engine and move it foward plus a lot more the budjet by that time would not allow for that. The bike was raced but not overly sucessful.

The seller wanted Chris to sell the bike at the San Jose store but Chris declined thus now on E Bay.

Another intresting little known tidbit. The bike that Nate Kurn is currently racing to sucess back east for Main Line BMW is the bike that Chris built for the last Boxer Cup series, with Brian Pariott won the Daytona Boxer Cup and came in 2nd over all in BMW's last Boxer Cup series. Chris hand built the engine in that bike and it is blue printed to the absolute of perfection. Lots more to the Boxer Cup race bike but prolly should be un said.

Intresting side note to all of this is the fact that Chris ends up getting involved with most of the BMW tech issues on a world wide basis without attribution.
