I just found these pics I posted at another one of my hangouts and wasn't sure if there was a forum here specifically for pics or not. Anyways, these show my basic riding setup. This is at about 7:30 in the morning early february before a trip to Cleveland. A little over 500 miles with temps in the twenties. God Bless Gerbings.

You are a hearty soul riding in those temps - and obviously very dedicated to the sport!

Ya, it pretty much is a blue Gold wing. I've found that my riding involves a lot more super-slab than I originally thought. Mainly due to the amount of time I have to ride versus the distance I need to travel. In addition, Central Illinois is really without any serious corners. So wind/ weather protection is a bigger deal then weight, etc.

Have you ridden an RT? Great weather protection, might suit you well. Of course, the Beakster is such a fun little bike! BTW - I had BMW system cases and a Givi 46L top case on my RR when I had one, so I am in a glass house on this one.
Ride safe.

There are other heated gear makers out there too...Widder is one I have had great luck with for years.
Google for others & shop around, don't fall in the "Ohlins is the only suspension trap", "Heated Gear Division".
