That looks like fun! Well priced too. I hope it goes to a good home. (I once said that to a friend who was selling a nice old BSA, he said "Provided he pays me I don't give a s**t what he does with it! Plainly I'm too sentimental about bikes, especially old British ones..).

I could get interested if it wasn't so far away. Do you still have the stock pipes for it?

Doug it's not THAT far away. Cost ya a couple of hundred to get it to Phoenix. Heck, I'd bring it the rest of the way. Maybe Don/Dave would meet Bob half way and we could meet them half way in my truck.....we can make this happen if you say the word.

OD, I would be more than happy to pitch in. If it could be gotton to Donsons, I could meet someone between here and Donsons....I could be sweet talked into going all the way to Donsons easy enough.
This is very doable my friend.
Where the hell is Willow Park, Texas????

You guys are too kind. I did look up Willow Park and it's right outside of a long ways away... a few miles west of Ft. Worth -- 970 miles give or take. Would run into quite a bit of gas, food, etc. and my budget will be very tight but it wouldn't be the first time my want over ruled my common sense. And I wouldn't be buyin' a pig in a poke as is usually the case with used bikes. Let's see if the deal on the Kaw actually goes through, then I'll have to make decision real fast. I get disoriented and moody real quick when there's not a motorcycle in my garage.

Looks like a maximum amount of bike smiles for a minimal amount of cash.

Despite the very generous offers of assistance by you guys, the distance and more importantly, budgetary constraints have pushed me in a different direction. I thought I'd found a low mile Scrambler (on 3200 miles on it) not too far from here but it turned out that the owner didn't have the title in hand and I don't give money without walking away with the bike and the title. Tomorrow I should have some pics of what I did buy.

I'll look for you Simon. So I guess you can Bugger off. :)
Bugger is a slang word used in the vernacular British English, Australian English, Canadian English, New Zealand English, South African English, Caribbean English, Sri Lankan English and occasionally also in Malaysian English and Singaporean English, and rarely American English. It is derived from Anglo-Norman bougre, which has also given the term buggery, a term originally used to describe either anal intercourse by a man with a man or woman,[1] or sexual intercourse by either a man or a woman with an animal.[2] Today, the term is a general-purpose expletive, used to imply dissatisfaction, or used to describe someone or something whose behaviour is in some way displeasing, or sexual intercourse between a man and a woman, though in general Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand English the expletive force has largely disappeared; the word there now has a 'catch-all', almost humorous, 'Jeez' quality.
