Long Way Round... Lake Michigan

A trip I'll do as soon as it's warm enough is to ride around Lake Michigan. It's a local route for the Iron Butt association:

I guess they do it in 1 day. I'll take at 4 or 5 (what's the hurry). I've got a remote cabin to stay in on the Northern shore of Lake Michigan... that's about the halfway point from Chicago, that toddlin' town.

What should I see along the way?

I'm planning a trip around Lake Superior when it warms up. No Iron Butt run for me just a fun ride. I figure 3 days.
