Here's another reason I don't eat at Micky D's...

Nice, eh?

Cheers!

ps - This chicken was also not equipped with ABS, which could have possibly made it far more hazardous for its purchaser to own, operate, or eat - especially in inclement weather. However, no crashes were directly attributable to this non-ABS-equipped chicken.

Yikes! I subsisted on McDonalds and other similar stuff when I moved from Pennsylvania while trying to consciously block out the effect it would have on my body.

I think I'll come back to read this post every time I get the urge to eat at a Mickey D's.

Blech!

Bob,
Somehow I don't think you had this "head" in mind. :)

I just don't get why somebody deserves money for a mistake like this. Whats the huge tramma? McD's should counter sue. They offered her a resonable replacement, the mom is a snake & desrves jail time for attempted extortion IMHO.

I agree with you Rob...in Oz you'd get a genuine apology and a replacement..that's it.....this is one of those 'only in America' stories.

The judge that agrees to these huge payout deserves a good slap IMHO...and they only encourages more people to sue for petty things.

Now if she had bit the head off...how crunchy would that be..:003:

Don't even get me started on litigation and the current state of affairs in the US because of it.

For one, I can't buy a DECENT coffee maker for home use anymore. Why? Because to due to liability issues, none of them will make HOT coffee. If you want decent coffee from good beans, you need hot water, dammit. Because of the McDonald's hot coffee incident years ago, all the manufacturers changed how the makers heat water.

THE DEATH OF COMMON SENSE!!!!!!

I think the manager should have said "Look, lady, we said chicken. That's chicken. You don't like it? Go somewhere else." Granted, it is not what I would want to have served, but you know, there are plenty of places where chicken heads are served up. And pigs feet. And tripe. And Kishka. And Head Cheese. And Scrapple.

Any of you out there from Pennsylvania? Do you all know what Scrapple is?

Pretty interesting incident, though.

Never me, Ron...

Not on your life. Even the smell of menudo cooking gags me. There are a lot better hangover cures...

Like the perfect Bloody Mary! :cocktail:

Or if you're in a hurry, an ice cold beer mixed with a can of V-8 "Spicy Hot" vegetable juice and a few shakes of your favorite hot sauce, like Tabasco, etc.

Or like the guy who woke up thinking he was gonna' have a hangover... First thing he did was reach over and grab the bottle of "Wild Turkey" he had placed on the nightstand before going to bed. Whipped the cork out, swung the bottle to his lips and slammed down about four or five swallows... Then he turns to his friend and says "I'm maybe gonna' have a hangover, Jack... But it's not gonna' be today." *

Cheers!

Snopes has an update on the chicken head story here:

Snopes is a fun site. Just enough weird stuff turns out to be true to make one queasy.
