British researchers say motorcycle helmets can harm hearing

It will be amazing but not surprising to see some ironheads use this as yet another excuse not to wear a helmet.
But for any regular helmet wearers out there who do not use earplugs, it's yet another very good argument to do so.
Fortunately, we do not have to choose between saving our skulls or saving our hearing!

I've had a set of molded -to-the-ear type plugs I got at a MOA rally many many years ago and they work great. Before that I used the hardware store foam type but got one stuck inside the ear and had to have someone remove it for me which made me feel foolish. The wife said all I had to bo was sneeze holding my nose and closing my mouth because there wasn't anything else up there to stop the air flow. Yea what does she know.....I tried it three times and nothing..........

I'm a fan of the E-A-R Ultrafits. They have handles!

I use the "Hearo" brand 'cause they're made for motorcycles.
There are a LOT of them out there and there are differences in performance, fit & comfort. and price.
Doug, I've heard the custom molded ones are titz!
I think the No. 1 thing is we use them!

I always ride with ear plugs, I just wish I'd started doing it 30 years sooner. After ten years of riding with them I can't stand to ride without them, even on just a short hop around town.

What? Condoms? Surely not..

Guys, you seem to have me down as some sort of womanising drunkard, a charge I emphatically deny. I assure you, your wives and daughters are quite safe from me. (You might, however, care to hide the key to your wine cellar..)

You mean your wife doesn't want to stay in a barn with a bunch of smelly, snoring, farting bikers?

Looking forward to meeting you and the Mrs, Jack. (Even if you weren't bring the grape:))
