So here's what my old mates are up to in my absence.
This is an annual multi-club show we started ~25 years ago with the car guys. The Jaguar snobs hated us being there...especially when a beautiful old Triumph Speed Twin won Best of Show the 2nd year the bikes were there! I hear they still haven't gotten over that...I hope that's true. :blbl:

Betty & I had the twin to this little 1955 MG TF1500 right after we got married in 1966. Summer nights were heaven, cruising around with the windshield laid down flat. I'd trade the MGA for it in a second!

Dave, my word - you boys can put on a show! It's great to see those old Brits still being used (albeit probably gently) and still being loved. Too cool.

You got married in 1966? So Betty was, like, a child bride?

My first car was one of these..

Mind you, I was about three. And the car was about four inches from nose to tail. I used to push it round the living room carpet making "Brmm. brmm" noises.. :)

Be sure to thank Paul for the cracking good pics.

No, she was 37 and saving up for a new set of teeth and I was a dashing lad of 16, fresh from the 6th grade.
And the whole world lay ahead...

And everybody knows that 16 goes into 37 more times than 37 goes into 16...:peepwall:
